100 m³/h Ultrapure Water System & Distribution Loop – Turnkey Project

End User:

Philips LumiLEDs Singapore

We delivered a cost-effective and fully automated 100 m³/h Ultrapure Water (UPW) system and distribution loop for Philips LumiLEDs’ Singapore facility. The system was designed to support high-precision LED manufacturing by providing stable, high-purity water quality that consistently exceeded all specified requirements.
The completed system achieved the following performance:

  • POU Resistivity: 18.2 MΩ·cm (vs. spec 16.5 MΩ·cm)
  • TOC: 10 ppb (vs. spec 50 ppb)
  • RO Conductivity: 2 µS/cm
  • EDI Resistivity: 17.5 MΩ·cm

The process configuration incorporates optimized pretreatment using activated carbon filtration (ACF) and reverse osmosis (RO), supported by enhanced chemical dosing control. The design also features a bespoke CO₂ reduction step, improving RO and EDI efficiency and extending component life through more stable inlet conditions.

The system operates as a fully automated turnkey solution, including automatic ACF backwash, automatic system switchover, and continuous delivery of stable water quality and pressure. This project demonstrates our ability to implement reliable, high-performance ultrapure water systems tailored for demanding semiconductor and LED manufacturing environments.
